“The most important thing is teamwork … To execute our mission we have to work together.”

Inspiring Others as a Mentor

Kevin’s journey at Oak Street Health began in 2018 as a primary care physician at our Avalon Park center on the south side of Chicago.

Kevin joined our team to bring our value-based care model to historically underserved areas and helped design Oak Street Health’s Fellowship for Value-Based Care Leadership. As founding fellow and interim program director, he mentored young clinicians to become experts in value-based care and helped create a culture of teamwork.

“The better you understand what your teammates are doing, the better and easier your life can be.”

Becoming a Leader

Three years after joining Oak Street Health, Kevin was promoted to senior medical director, responsible for managing our first five centers in his home state of Louisiana.

Kevin now serves patients in the same neighborhoods of New Orleans that his parents and grandfather did, and his passion and leadership are vital to the ongoing development of the New Orleans and Baton Rouge centers. He is dedicated to the Oak Street Health value-based care model, and to understanding the roles of his teammates in providing quality care.
